Welcome: 

The PAC leadership welcomes all the members of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania, from Cape to Cairo, Madagascar to Morocco and all Africanists around the globe, this is home, AZANIA welcomes you! 

Purpose:

The purpose of this communication is to introduce MARAKANELO, a debate/discussion forum for all Africans and Pan Africanists in Azania, Africa and the world at large. This is your home of ideas aimed at reshaping African political systems, good governance, democracy and economic self reliance. In the end it will reclaim Africa’s position in the global politics.

“Marakanelo” is a Setswana word meaning “place of meeting”/”meeting place”. The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania is the ultimate convener for all African scholars, philosophers, economists, journalists, analysts and scientists to converge at this place and chart the way forward for Africa’s development. It is at this place, where alternative solutions to Africa’s governance system will be debated and, out of those debates, prospects of prosperity will be designed.  

Who is Africa in the Global village? Is Africa a house-hold where in mother and father enjoy rubbing shoulders with heads of other house-holds while their children are suffering from killer diseases, malnutrition, hunger and starvation? Is Africa a house-hold whose destiny is discussed in the multilateral institutions without her concerned? Is Africa a house-hold where parents continue to ask for food from alien families? Is Africa a place of tribal conflict, genocide, coos and corruption? Is Africa a place whose leaders continue to fulfill the mandate of foreign intelligence services of capitalist countries, a market for their weapons, a source of raw material and a creator of opportunities in foreign continents?

 These questions and others not raised in here will find their solution in the revitalized African revolution, a call for the total liberation of Africa and its children. These questions will find their solutions in the re-engineered liberation movement in the post independence states in Africa. These questions will find their answers in the Pan Africanist revolutionary agenda, a force to be recon with in the liberation struggle of the mother land. 

Sons and daughters of the soil! We salute you for continuously raising your right hand palm followed by the words “IZWE LETHU!!”  We do so consciously, knowing the challenges presented to our liberation movement continentally. We understand the conditions under which you function. Not withstanding the vicious attacks that have been re-launched by the very aggressive imperialist system. The political quagmire our country has been plunged into by the co-opted members amongst us to serve the very same system. We know the tactical approach expected from the pillar of the Africanist revolution: Pan Africanism.

It is in these times and eras, whose call for national unity for democracy, must be attended to. An era characterized by disloyalty to the rule of law, disrespect to the judiciary and procurement policies – whose intentions is to further enrich those who are politically connected with the ruling party - that are implemented selectively, that the PAC must provide truly Pan Africanist solutions to the challenges presented. 

The time has come, for the Pan Africanist agenda to assert a solution for the most social ills our country is encountering. The nation is crying for salvation and Pan Africanism is the answer. The nation’s confidence to success is challenged by a system prone to criminality, Pan Africanism must provide an answer. The nation is faced with ill informed political decisions, Pan Africanism is an ultimate hope. The nation is faced with national disunity, tribal entrenchment and a further racial divide, Pan Africanism is the solution. 

Without any regret, the PAC must address the national question unequivocally. However, such a discussion is never complete unless its focus on the socio conditions, history and national economic orientation contributing in its molding and giving it a direction. It will obviously sound irrelevant if any discussion in the development of nationalism of any kind to day, disregard democracy as a central or the cornerstone of its entity.  

Final Remarks:

 African masses are paying the price while managers of the colonial economies sit and eat on the same table with the same master. The situation is getting worse. As masters continue to plunder on the natural resources for the creation of economic development in their countries, co-opted managers are given a program to render political gimmicks to impress the masses.  It is in line with the understanding of the challenges that African people that the PAC of Azania takes this initiative of calling all African intellectuals to feed the African nation with their intellect, use their education, knowledge and experience to benefit Africa. Let us join hands for the benefit of Africa.
